Château Bouscaut is one of the 14 Grands Crus Classés of Graves for both white and red wines.
Bouscaut’s vineyard is known since the 17th century. Originally called Haut Truchon, it was renamed Château Bouscaut in 1881.
In 1962, the estate was completely destroyed by a fire and then reconstructed according to the original plans.
Since 1979 the chateau is owned by by the Lurton family, which also owns at least ten other prestigious châteaux in Bordeaux. Sophie Lurton and her husband have been running Bouscaut for almost 30 years.
The chateau offers guided tours, picnics, wine and food pairings and workshops.
