A tour of the estate in which you learn about the château’s winemaking philosophy and discover the new facilities and the estate’s wines.

We offer a guided tasting of two wines: Château Beauregard and Benjamin de Beauregard or Château Pavillon Beauregard.

About

The history of Chateau Beauregard dates back to the 11th century and the Order of the Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. The symbol of Beauregard, the Knights Templar cross, originates from those times when the knights had a small manor on the current site of Chateau Beauregard.

In the 16th century, the Beauregard family built the first house. Later, it was replaced by the present château.

In the middle of the 18th century, Beauregard changed from a mixed farming estate to a vine-growing property.

Today, the chateau is owned by families Moulin and Cathiard families, who also own several other chateaux in the area.

The winery offers guided tours and tastings. At the boutique, you can buy wines of the chateau, as well as of other wineries such as Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte.

Chateau Beauregard is a spectacular facility and an excellent stop on your tour of Bordeaux wineries.

By far the worst winery visit we’ve ever experienced! Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Avoid this place and spend your money somewhere the staff genuinely appreciate their guests and make them feel welcome.

My wife and I are professional sommeliers and restaurant owners who have dedicated our lives to wine. During our Bordeaux trip, we visited approximately 30 châteaux, and Château Beauregard was by far the worst experience of them all. We booked FOUR MONTHS in advance and arrived on Tuesday at 2 PM, only to find nobody there. We waited ten minutes, and nobody answered our phone calls. When a lady finally appeared, she was extremely unfriendly, fast talking, impatient, and clearly uninterested in welcoming us. She rushed us through the entire château in barely ten minutes, offering almost no explanation or enthusiasm. The tasting was even worse. We received ridiculously small pours of two wines. In the middle of our tasting, she walked away to talk on the phone for more then 5 minutes. Afterwards, she simply sat off to the side, YAWNING while we tasted the wines, making it obvious how little she cared about our visit. We actually came intending to purchase wines and potentially introduce them to our restaurant’s wine list. After such disrespectful and unprofessional treatment, we have absolutely no interest in buying their wines. We visited some of Bordeaux’s most prestigious estates and experienced wonderful hospitality everywhere else. Château Beauregard was the complete opposite. Absolutely disgraceful hospitality and a shocking lack of professionalism for an estate in such a prestigious appellation. My advice: AVOID THIS CHÂTEAU! There are countless better places in Bordeaux where visitors are genuinely appreciated. The worst of 30 château visits. An unforgettable disappointment. ZERO STARS if possible!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the customer service we experienced at Château Beauregard. Yesterday, I brought clients to the château shortly before closing. They were not looking for a tour, simply to purchase some wine. A member of the sales team kindly let us in and offered a tasting, and my clients subsequently purchased three bottles for approximately €300. After leaving, they realised they had not received a receipt or invoice. We returned, but the office had already closed, so they left their email address with another member of staff and were told the receipt could be sent to them. By the following day, they still had not received it. As they were due to leave for the airport within two hours and needed the documentation for their tax refund, I returned to the château myself to try to resolve the matter. Another member of staff was very helpful, located the receipt for me, and allowed me to take a photo of it. As I was leaving, I happened to meet the sales representative who had served us the previous day. I explained that my clients had still not received their receipt. She said that she had sent it that morning. When I explained that they had not received anything, her response was simply to shrug, roll her eyes and walk back into the office. Mistakes with emails or receipts can happen, and that in itself would not have prompted me to leave a negative review. What was disappointing was the dismissive and unprofessional response when I was simply trying to resolve a time-sensitive issue for clients who had just spent €300 at the château. Château Beauregard is a beautiful and respected property, and the other staff member who helped me was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, this particular interaction left a very poor final impression. I would expect a considerably more professional and gracious approach from a château of this standing, especially when dealing with visiting clients. Thank You.
