At Quinta do Crasto, guests are invited to enjoy a relaxed and authentic enogastronomic experience inspired by the Douro Valley’s traditions and way of life.
The cuisine is firmly rooted in Portuguese culinary heritage and is prepared by experienced local cooks using fresh, seasonal ingredients. A large part of the produce — including vegetables, aromatic herbs, and fruits — comes directly from Quinta do Crasto’s own vegetable garden, ensuring freshness and respect for seasonality.
The experience includes a buffet-style meal served in a warm, family atmosphere, featuring:
The meal is completed with wine pairings featuring a special selection of Quinta do Crasto’s acclaimed wines, thoughtfully chosen to harmonize with the dishes.
This program offers a genuine taste of the Douro, combining regional cuisine, estate wines, and a welcoming setting for a memorable experience.

in the last weekThis year, at the request of a group of wine connoisseurs, we ended up at Dit wijn huis. The quality of the wine is exceptional, and under the guidance of our guide, we had an exceptional lunch. Highly recommended for those looking for good wines and a luxurious, relaxed lunch.

a week agoThe winery tour and tasting of 5 wines was an exceptional experience at Quinta do Crasto! The winery is absolutely beautiful, situated atop a hill next to the river, the views are stunning. Our tour guide Alfredo was very passionate and knowledgeable about the winery and the history of wine in the Douro Valley. The tour was very thorough, and it was great to see all the areas of the winery from the grape reception area, to the fermentation vats, to the aging cellar. Finishing off the tour with a tasting was a very enjoyable conclusion. The wines are fantastic, and any wine drinker would love their selection. They also produce delicious olive oil which we sampled during the tasting. Before leaving, the staff were very helpful with arranging some bottles to be shipped back home to the USA. I’m very excited to have Quinto do Crasto wine again during the holidays. My only disclaimer is that the drive to the winery takes you through some windy rural roads, but it is very much worth the journey.
