The House of Ruinart was the first established House of Champagne in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart.
In the mid-18th century, the house bought the crayeres, chalk cellars dug underneath the city of Reims to store its wines. Today, the crayeres are the World Heritage site by UNESCO, and a truly unique experience.
Chardonnay is the main grape variety at Ruinart. It is harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs.
