About

The name of the Quinta comes from Francisco Ferreira, whose nickname was Popa. Francisco, an illegitimate son to a winery owner, worked in the vineyards, but remained unrecognized. His son, Zeca do Pôpa fulfilled his dream when he bought a winery and named it after his father.
Today Quinta Popa is a small family winery with topnotch hospitality, excellent wines, breathtaking views of the valley, and relaxed atmosphere.
Since May 2020, Quinta wines are certified vegan-friendly.
The winery is focusing on dry red and white wines.
