Marques de Caceres
About
Enrique Forner founded Marqués de Cáceres in 1970 with an idea to introduce Bordeaux concept in La Rioja and to produce wines of the best quality.
Exiled in France due to the Civil War, Enrique founded a similar business in France and returned to Spain in 1968 to create this Rioja winery.
Today, Cristina Forner, the third generation of this wine family is in charge of the bodegas.
The name of the winery was given by a friend of the family, D. Forner Vicente Noguera Espinosa de los Monteros, Marqués de Cáceres and Grande de España.
The wines of Marques de Caceres are sold in 120 countries.
The bodega is only about 20 minutes drive from the centre of Logrono. Include Marques de Caceres into your wine tour itinerary if you are staying in the city.
