Joana Maçanita and António Maçanita, talented and well-known young winemakers who are also siblings, started their winemaking adventure in the Douro region from humble beginnings.
Their small winery, situated on the right side of the Douro River and just a short 20-minute drive from Pinhão, now produces approximately 80,000 bottles per year. Their range includes red, white, and rosé wines. At Maçanita Vinhos, their winemaking approach is all about highlighting the unique characteristics of the Douro terroirs while practicing minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
