Giuseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners, started farming and making wine from the family-owned vineyard in Barolo (Cuneo) in 1890.
Giacomo Damilano, the founder’s son-in-law, gave his name to the winery. He also introduced innovation in the winemaking process, which made the winery a “jewel” of Barolo. His nephews, have been managing the company since 1997.
Damilano has restored its old house at 31 Via Roma in Barolo. Come to taste great wines of the company including excellent Barolo.
Damilano winery hosts one of the most renowned restaurants: Massimo Camia Ristorante.
Wine shop open for tastings without appointment.
