About
Chateau Mouton Rothschild is a star of Bordeaux wines and a First Growth Chateau.
The Chateau was the only one among the Grand Cru Classe that remained in the same family since 1855 classification.
Baron Philippe de Rothschild (1902-1988) and his daughter Baronesse Philippine (1933-2014) led the chateau to its glory.
The estate is a work of art. For example, the with a barrel hall holding 1,000 barrels, the vat room built to remind a theater, and of course, the Museum of Art of Wine.
Today, the Chateau Mouton Rothschild is managed by the three children of Baronesse Philippine who are committed to maintaining the chateau’s motto “Mouton does not change”.
