Chateau Grangey

Franck Mio and his wife Elodie took over this small chateau in financial distress from Franck’s family and turned it into a successful winery. They are Saint Emilion Grand Cru and produce mostly Merlot-based wines on a very beautiful land.

Elodie, a former interior designer, will show you a small but modern cellar and threat you to a guided wine tasting.

You have to taste their 2015 Chateau Grangey. It was a great year for Saint-Emilion. Chateau Grangey made a wonderful full-bodied wine, with red and black fruit aromas, great acidity, and high fruit concentration. One of my favorite wines in Bordeaux.
