Chateau Ferriere
About
Chateau Ferriere was founded in the 18th century by Gabriel Ferriere, a ship broker and a royal huntsman.
The estate was in the hands of the same family for nearly 300 years.
Today, the chateau is owned by Claire Villars Lurton, who renovated the estate in 2013 and converted it into a certified organic and biodynamic winery.
At the boutique of Chateau Ferriere you can taste and buy not only the wines of the chateau, but also the sister chateau wines:
Chateau Durfort Vivens
Chateau Haut Bages Liberal
Chateau La Gurgue
Acaibo
Chateau Ferriere is known for the organic and biodynamic practices in agriculture and winemaking.
This is one of the rare wineries in the Medoc where drop-ins are welcomed, however, it is better to call ahead to guarantee a spot.
