A neighbour to Chateau Pavie, this Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe winery belongs to the Vignobles K Group, a family company which owns 7 wine properties in 4 prestigious appellations of Bordeaux.
The Bellefont-Belcier estate was founded in the 18th century. The vines are planted Saint-Emilion’s south-facing slopes.
Count Louis-François de Belcier had first founded the vineyard in late 18th century, and at the beginning of the 19th century, he build the château which he named Bellefont, which stands for ‘beautiful fountain’ in reference to numerous springs hidden on the hillside.
The gem of the chateau is its impressive purple vat room. The chateau is beautifully renovated and their wines are a delight.
Chateau Bellefont Belcier will welcome you for a stay at their small winery hotel.
