The history of of Chateau Beauregard dates back to the 11th century and the Order of the Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. The symbol of Beauregard, the Knights Templar cross, originates from those times when the knights had a small manor on the current site of Chateau Beauregard.
In the 16th century, the Beauregard family built the first house. Later, it was replaced by the present château.
In the middle of the 18th century Beauregard changed from a mixed farming estate to a vine-growing property.
Today, the chateau is owned by families Moulin and Cathiard families, who also own several other chateaux in the area.
The winery offers guided tours and tastings. At the boutique, you can buy wines of the chateau, as well as of other wineries such as Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte.
Chateau Beauregard is a spectacular facility and excellent stop on your tour of Bordeaux wineries.
