Castiglion del Bosco
About
Castiglion (walled castle) and bosco (wood). The castle surrounded by Tuscan natural beauty was built in 1100.
For the last 15 years, this Val d’Orcia estate has been owned by Massimo Ferragamo, the youngest son of Salvatore Ferragamo, founder of the international shoe and luxury leather goods company.
Today, Castiglion del Bosco is not only a winery with top-rated wines. A 23-room Rosewood hotel, two restaurants, 2 restaurants, a spa, a golf course, and 11 villas makes this Tuscan gem a must when you are in Italy.
Wine tasting experiences include tasting from a barrel, wine pairing with Tuscan cheese and vertical tasting of old and rare vintages.
During harvest time, join pickers at Castiglion del Bosco and taste wines afterwards. Looking for something more exclusive? How about a helicopter ride over Tuscan vineyards?
There is a luxury accomodation and a golf course.
