Bodegas Lecea is located in San Asensio, a medieval settlement surrounded by vineyards in the midst of incredible scenery along the edge of the River Ebro.
Don Rufino Lecea Blanco, started changes in the old estate in the 1980s when he began to bottle his own wines. Today, his son Luis Alberto Lecea is in charge of this family winery producing distinguished Rioja wines, combining modernity and tradition.
Bodegas Lecea is very famous for its four 16th century connected caves used for wine cellaring.
Visits
English tours run Monday to Friday at 10:30am.
