This family-owned winery was built on top of the underground cellar dating back to the XV century in the village of Gumiel de Mercado.
The plots are located in said Burgos área, with an altitude of about 830 meters. A 50 hectares vineyard contains mostly red variety “Tinta fina” or “Tempranillo”, as well as small small number of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Albillo vines.
In 2003, the winery was fully reconstructed and equipped with the latest technical advances. Winemaking is done by gravity, minimizing the pumping damage.
The ageing cellar contains 600 barrels of which 80% are French oak and the rest of American oak.
