Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos
About
The AALTO project was launched in 1999 by Mariano Garcia and Javier Zaccagnini with a purpose to make high-quality wines with personality. Later, in 2006, Masaveu and Nozaleda families joined AALTO as owners. The winery currently controls 130 hectares of old, indigenous vines of Tinto Fino, scattered in more than 200 plots located in nine different municipalities in the Ribera del Duero appellation.
At first and until the harvest of 2004, production took place in rented facilities in Roa. The first phase of a new winery in municipality Quitanilla de Arriba (Valladolid) was completed in 2005. The winery was completed in 2016.
